Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring for a Facility Management Service Delivery Manager to support the Texas Department of Information Resources. The ideal candidate must be in Austin, TX and San Angelo, TX. This position must cover BOTH the Austin Data Center and San Angelo Data Center. The Facility Management Service Delivery Manager will have overall accountability for CDC and in-scope facility Services. This includes, but is not limited to, physical security compliance, environmental controls, power optimization, utility cost management, and future CDC construction projects and infrastructure upgrades.This is a multi-site facilities leadership position requiring responsibility for both the Austin Data Center (ADC) and San Angelo Data Center (SDC).
Critical Location Requirement:
The successful candidate must be based in the applicable Texas area and have the willingness and ability to regularly travel between Austin and San Angelo, which are approximately 3 hours apart.
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Austin, TX metropolitan area or San Angelo, TX, as applicable.
Candidates must be able to support both facilities as required.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain overall accountability for physical operations at:
-
Austin Data Center (ADC)
-
San Angelo Data Center (SDC)
-
Manage physical security compliance at both Consolidated Data Centers.
-
Manage environmental control systems, including:
-
HVAC
-
CRAC cooling
-
340 tons of cooling capacity at ADC
-
365 tons of cooling capacity at SDC
-
Manage critical power systems, including:
-
UPS
-
Generators
-
PDUs
-
Power distribution
-
Dual-feed power
-
Manage power optimization initiatives and utility cost management.
-
Provide power and utility cost reporting to DIR.
-
Manage required generator testing, weekly, Monthly and annually.
-
Manage future Consolidated Data Center (CDC) construction projects and infrastructure upgrades.
-
Manage the Austin Data Center lease through the contract term.
-
Coordinate San Angelo Data Center activities with Angelo State University in accordance with Texas Government Code §2054.382.
-
Manage CCTV, access control, and physical security systems at both Consolidated Data Centers.
-
Coordinate facilities operations, maintenance, infrastructure, and physical security activities across both sites.
-
Ensure facilities operations remain aligned with contractual, operational, safety, security, and service requirements.

Regularly travel between Austin and San Angelo to support both data center locations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
-
10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
-
7+ years of enterprise-scale data center facilities management experience.
-
Demonstrated experience managing critical data center facilities and infrastructure.
-
Experience with Uptime Institute Tier II or Tier II+ facility management.
-
Strong expertise in critical power systems, including:
-
UPS
-
Diesel generators
-
PDUs
-
Power distribution
-
Dual-feed power systems
-
Demonstrated experience managing CRAC/HVAC cooling systems.

Experience managing critical facility construction and infrastructure upgrade projects.
-
Experience with multi-site facilities management.
-
Strong understanding of data center environmental, electrical, mechanical, and physical infrastructure.
-
Ability to manage facilities operations in a high-availability, mission-critical environment.
-
Strong vendor, contractor, project, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Willingness and ability to regularly travel between Austin and San Angelo, approximately 3 hours apart.

Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with physical security and access control in CJIS-compliant environments.

Experience managing physical security systems, including:

CCTV
-
Access control
-
Physical security infrastructure
-
Experience managing government data center facilities.

Experience working with regulated or highly secure facilities.

Experience with multi-site data center operations.
-
Experience managing utility optimization and energy cost-reduction programs.

Experience coordinating major data center construction, expansion, and infrastructure modernization projects.

Experience working with government stakeholders and public-sector facilities requirements.

CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or equivalent preferred

Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
