Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a USMC Joint CONUS Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Air National Guard (ANG) distributed training operations in Des Moines, IA. This individual will serve as the primary Marine Corps expert during joint training and mission rehearsal events, leveraging their operational experience in areas such as JTAC, Joint Fires, aviation operations, or command and control. The ideal candidate is a former Marine, preferably an enlisted JTAC, with the ability to advise operators, support realistic training scenarios, and bridge operational requirements with mission training objectives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Serve as the primary USMC SME supporting ANG operational training and distributed mission exercises -Develop and deliver training curriculum, study materials, and mission rehearsal scenarios -Provide expertise in Joint Fires, Command and Control (C2), Marine Corps operations, and aviation mission sets Support simulation-based training events and assess participant performance and readiness -Advise military operators and leadership on tactics, procedures, and operational planning -Coordinate with government stakeholders, engineers, and training personnel to support event execution -Evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement -Support Joint Operations Planning efforts and ensure training objectives align with mission requirements -Conduct briefings, instruction, and after-action reviews with military personnel and leadership -Participate in occasional travel to military installations in support of training events and exercises

Compensation:

$45/hr to $48/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

-Prior United States Marine Corps (USMC) experience required -Former enlisted JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller) highly preferred -Active DoD Secret Clearance (or active interim Secret) 5-8+ years of relevant operational military experience -Experience supporting Joint Fires operations and integration -Background in one or more of the following: JTAC, ANGLICO, 0861 Fire Support, Air Officer (AirO), Marine Aviation, C2/C3, or Joint Operations Planning -Experience briefing, instructing, and advising military personnel and senior leaders -Strong understanding of Marine Corps tactics, aviation operations, and command and control concepts -Ability to support simulation-based training, mission rehearsals, and distributed training exercises -ANGLICO background -MAWTS-1 graduate -Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) experience -Simulation/LVC training experience -Experience supporting ANG or other Joint training events -Instructor/evaluator experience -III MEF or I MAW operational experience
