About Salesforce Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

At Salesforce, we believe that AI requires a trusted context. Join our Data Foundation Pre-Sales team as a Data Architect helping clients envision the transformation of their businesses through Data platform offerings coming from Informatica and MuleSoft and focussing on Data and AI within Salesforce.

The Role

As a Data Architect, you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, leveraging your deep technical expertise in data governance, cataloguing, data quality and data infrastructure to guide them through Informatica and MuleSoft solutions. Working closely with Account Executives, Solution Engineers and C-level leaders throughout the end-to-end sales cycle, you will use your strong presentation and solutioning skills to navigate complex accounts. By aligning technical and architectural requirements with customer business drivers, strategy, and funding, you will qualify opportunities and ensure our customers realize the platform's full value.

You will support the customer enterprise architects and domain architects to build an Architectural Vision and to-be Architecture for Digital and Data Transformation, with a clear positioning of the value of Informatica and MuleSoft in this vision. You will also help persuade senior IT executives (CTO, CIO, Head of digital, and others) to adopt this vision to achieve their goals.

Why Join Us?

  • Supportive Culture: Be part of an inclusive, highly collaborative pre-sales team with dedicated mentorship focused on your long-term career growth.
  • Impactful Work: Work at the forefront of AI and data innovation, directly helping enterprises solve complex compliance, governance, and architecture challenges.
  • Core Values: Work for a company that leads with Trust, Customer Success, and Equality.

What Your First Year Looks Like Instead of measuring success by arbitrary years on a resume, we evaluate candidates on impact. Here is how your role evolves:

  • In Your First 30–60 Days: You'll complete onboarding, pair with senior teammates on customer opportunities, get certified on core Data Foundation products.
  • By Day 90: You’ll start to lead architectural discussions with our customers, Deliver architecture presentations that are tailored to the client’s technical requirements and audience, and work alongside Client Solution Engineers on strategic opportunities.
  • Beyond: You’ll lead high-level architectural workshops with C-suite executives, architect tailored Proofs of Concept (PoCs), create thought leadership material, support public events and mentor incoming team members on best practices.

What You Bring: To hit the ground running in this role, candidates must possess the following core credentials and domain expertise:

  • Data Architecture Strategy & Value Realisation: Proven ability to analyse complex customer challenges and architect innovative Data solutions. You will guide critical architectural discussions around data foundations—advising stakeholders on data governance, cataloguing, and data quality tools—to design accessible, trustworthy architectures and foster continuous platform adoption by identifying new business use cases.
  • Storytelling & Architectural Advisory: Strong experience partnering collaboratively with Sales and Solutions Engineering teams during the sales process, providing crucial architectural guidance to support the creation of compelling demos that clearly illustrate immediate ROI and practical application for diverse stakeholders.
  • Workshop Facilitation & Strategic Alignment: Expertise in orchestrating inclusive, targeted technical workshops to guide key decisions and align architectural best practices with the customer's core business priorities.
  • Thought Leadership & Technical Enablement: A track record of producing clear architectural diagrams and best-practice documentation, actively sharing knowledge on emerging AI trends and Data innovations to empower both internal teams and customers.
  • Education: A Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
  • Regional Mobility: Ability to travel as needed (up to a maximum of 30% of the time) across the UK and Ireland region.

Bonus Experience (Desired, Not Required): We actively seek candidates with prior exposure to the following areas. Bringing any of these to the table is a big plus, but a lack of experience is not a dealbreaker:

  • Hands-On Implementation Experience: While this role focuses on architectural strategy and advisory, practical, hands-on configuration or implementation experience with these data governance and quality tools is considered a strong advantage.
  • Data & Cloud Fundamentals: Practical understanding of hybrid software deployments, database design, data warehousing, or business intelligence concepts.
  • Specific Product Ecosystems: Architectural experience with other Informatica or MuleSoft tools, such as MDM, data and application integration, and APIs.
  • Regulatory Frameworks: In-depth knowledge of compliance mandates (e.g., GDPR, BCBS239, EU AI Act).
  • Advanced AI Concepts: Specific exposure to Agentic AI and emerging generative workflows.

Don't Check Every Box? Apply Anyway! Research shows that underrepresented candidates often hesitate to apply unless they meet 100% of the listed requirements. At Salesforce, we value potential, adaptability, and real-world problem-solving just as much as formal credentials.

If you have a strong background in pre-sales and are excited about the future of data and AI, we want to hear from you, even if you don't possess every single item listed above

Unleash Your Potential When you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life. Our benefits and resources support you to find balance and be your best, and our AI agents accelerate your impact so you can do your best. Together, we’ll bring the power of Agentforce to organizations of all sizes and deliver amazing experiences that customers love.
