Description
The Department of Aerospace Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position with a 9-month academic appointment, with the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon the needs and availability of funds, beginning the fall of 2027. Applicants will be considered at the levels of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.
Candidates will be considered with areas of interest in one or more of the following areas: guidance, navigation and control of air and space vehicles; artificial intelligence and/or machine learning for aerospace control; safety-critical, verifiable and trustworthy aerospace autonomy.
Successful applicants will be required to develop and teach courses in the Aerospace Engineering department at Texas A&M University; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent externally funded research program at the forefront of aerospace engineering; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession. Qualifications
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in aerospace engineering or a closely related science and/or engineering discipline.
