Data Center Technician

Job Description

A client is looking for a Data Center Technician, who will be the primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues.

You will perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required.

Compensation: $28-29/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

Basic qualifications -1+ years of relevant experience in data center operations, IT support, or a similar technical troubleshooting field (NOT installation) -1+ years of troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve undefined technical problems -Willingness to participate in a primary responder rotation and support 24/7 data center operations Preferred qualifications -Experience working in a Data Center environment -Understanding of network design, protocols, troubleshooting, and in-depth hardware knowledge (e.g., PCIe) -Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.

Confirm degree/ certifications if applicable: -An Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent professional or military experience in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, networking engineering, etc.) -A+ Certification, Net + Certification

Degree or Certification: -Bachelor’s (preferred, but not required) -Server + or A+ level of understanding
