Summary You will serve as a GG-0132-13 Intelligence Specialist at the FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER in Suitland, MD. As a senior Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting raw ACINT data. Responsibilities You will exploit acoustic data using specialized signal processing and analysis equipment and software installed in the National ACINT Laboratory (NAIL). You will employ Target Motion Analysis (TMA) techniques and analytical techniques used in Sound Pressure Level (SPL) measurements, acoustic signal processing theory, and sensor certification. You will develop new/revise existing formal intelligence products and assessments relative to the capability of foreign countries to undertake certain naval operations (including briefings, automated/manual data bases, studies, estimates, analysis). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GG/GS-12) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as: Serve as a senior Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) Analyst responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting raw ACINT data. Interact with senior intelligence community/industry/other analysts and/or experts and coordinate information with foreign counterparts. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position. Recruitment incentives may be authorized to eligible new hires. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ).
