Summary
This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, Position Description Number D1255000 and is part of the NJ CSMS B, National Guard. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-9, you will: Establish plans and schedules for maintenance and repairs Responsible for data input of work order information, status changes, and supply updates Prioritizes resources to ensure the highest level of readiness Provide technical guidance and oversight to a lower-graded Production Controller Performs other duties as assigned. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Unit -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) PRE-PLACEMENT PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: A pre-placement physical will be required for anyone selected for this position. Placement into the position will not be made until results are received You may be required to successfully complete a 1- or 2- year probation/trial period to assess performance, conduct, agency needs, public interest, and efficiency. Employment ends unless certified in writing that it advances the agencies interest. Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience performing the following: Prepare job or work orders Schedule various phases of projects into the production facility Oversee the progress planned and arrangements for adjustments in materials, and machines Use of automation support programs to input data and provide status of equipment Monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, and track repair parts status
