Full job description

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. Regeneron is currently seeking multiple 2027 Co-ops in Analytical & Bioanalytical Sciences to join our Analytical and Biological Mass Spectrometry (ABMS), Assay Development, and R&D Chemistry teams, which develop and apply analytical, bioanalytical, and mass spectrometry-based methods to characterize therapeutic proteins, bioconjugates, and other complex biotherapeutics.

These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.

When & where:

Location: Tarrytown, NY and Hawthorne, NY

Timeframe: Our Co-op positions are full-time and onsite from January-August (Spring-Summer), May/June-December (Summer-Fall), and August-December (Fall).

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and run liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) methods to characterize therapeutic proteins, bioconjugates, and biomarkers

  • Apply mass spectrometry fragmentation techniques, including collision-induced dissociation (CID) and electron-based dissociation (ExD), to characterize conjugated payloads

  • Use capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry (CE-MS) and imaged capillary isoelectric focusing (iCIEF) to characterize protein charge variants

  • Build reference databases and spectral libraries, and process and interpret mass spectrometry data to validate molecular structures

  • Run high-throughput proteomics workflows using data-independent acquisition (DIA) methods and perform database searching with false discovery rate (FDR) control

  • Develop and evaluate platform immunoassays, including enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and western blot methods, to support preclinical and clinical bioanalytical studies

  • Support the development and purification of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) using multiple conjugation chemistries, chromatography, and peptide mapping techniques, and compare platform performance across different bioconjugate modalities

  • Document experimental procedures and results, and present findings to the broader analytical sciences team

Relevant majors: Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical/Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy

Let’s find out if we’re a fit :

  • Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree (and be returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position)
