We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation aircraft.

This position is onsite in Wichita, Kansas. The work shift is Monday through Thursday, reporting at 6:00AM to 4:30PM.

Front-Line Leader – Wichita, KS

The Front-Line Leader will be responsible for leading the daily activities for employees to support a production environment for the FLRAA aircraft.

Responsible for driving performance, safety, quality of work, managing cost, and managing employee relations.

What you’ll be doing as a Front-Line Leader:

• Provide daily assignment and direction to direct reports.

• Ability to create and implement procedures and standard work, process improvements or best practices.

• Ability to achieve objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions.

• Ensure compliance of existing protocols (tool calibration, tool control, operator training and qualification, etc)

• Coordinate with maintenance and facilities to ensure work orders are submitted and completed

• Conduct disciplines of employees when necessary.

• Utilize metrics driven accountability for performance such as TAKT, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring to This Role:

• High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• At least 2 years of production/manufacturing supervisory experience in airframe and structural assembly. Preferred experience with fuselage assembly.

• Able to work multiple shifts and overtime as needed.

• Experience directing the daily manufacturing activities of employees within their assigned area to complete required work.

• Excellent communicator with oral and written communications skills, be goal-oriented, data driven, with strong sense of urgency.

• Creative, entrepreneurial, and an empowering leader with strong organizational, human relations and problem-solving skills.

• Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with employees, internal and external customers, and brief leaders as required.

• We are looking for inquisitive and driven individual with a passion to innovate.

• This candidate must have strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive employee engagement and accountability.

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Experience with 3DX, SAP, and/or PEO is a plus.
