The Executive Office for Administration and Finance (A&F) plans and executes fiscal and administrative policies that serve to ensure the financial stability, efficiency, and effectiveness of state government. The key responsibilities of A&F include managing the operational and capital budgets of the Commonwealth and managing funds received from the federal government. A&F IT is a unit under the Executive Office for Administration & Finance (A&F) and is overseen by the Secretariat Chief Information Officer (SCIO). A&F IT is a team of approximately 300 skilled and committed IT professionals who develop and maintain technical solutions that address business challenges for Executive Office of Administration and Finance agencies. ANF IT’s DCAMM Support Team is seeking a skilled, versatile, and self-motivated Power Platform Developer to design, develop, validate, and support business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including but not limited to Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint Online. This mid-level role requires hands-on experience developing scalable low-code/no-code applications, automating business processes, and enhancing collaboration and document management capabilities within Microsoft 365 environments. Duties and Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Apps and related Power Platform technologies. • Build, optimize, validate, and support automated workflows and business processes using Power Automate. • Design, customize, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, forms, permissions, and workflows. • Develop integrated solutions across SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Teams, SQL Server, REST APIs, and third-party systems. • Create custom Power Apps solutions to replace manual processes and improve operational efficiency. • Configure, develop, and maintain Power Platform connectors and integrations across Microsoft 365 services • Support document management, records management, collaboration, and governance solutions within SharePoint environments. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and end users to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. • Troubleshoot and resolve application, SharePoint, and workflow issues, including performance, usability, and integration concerns. • Ensure all solutions comply with organizational security, accessibility, governance, and compliance standards. • Research and evaluate emerging Power Platform capabilities, automation technologies, and Microsoft 365 integrations to support continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Competencies: • 3–5 years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and/or related Microsoft 365 technologies. • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 integrations and services. • Experience supporting SharePoint Online, including site configuration, lists and libraries, permissions, and Power Platform integration. • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting • Experience designing and implementing Power Apps and Power Automate solutions in enterprise environments. • Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with SQL Server, REST APIs, and external systems. • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to design and implement technical solutions from loosely defined requirements. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively support and interact with end users. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent projects in a hybrid work environment. /An external candidate recommended for a position with the Executive Office for Administration and Finance IT will be subject to a background check that includes checks for: state and federal tax compliance; child support compliance; education verification; Massachusetts CORI checks; criminal background checks in state(s) of current and previous residence/employment; validation of eligibility to work in the United States; and national fingerprint-based criminal background checks./ First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days. Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have (A) at least two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional or practical experience in the field of information technology application development and support, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below. Substitutions: I. An Associate’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience. II. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
