Summary

About the Position: Serve as a Budget Analyst in the Program and Budget Branch, Resource Management Division, Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC). Participate in the formulation of budget estimates and financial/budget reports. Develop summarized tentative operating budget for selected elements. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

• Performs analyses and establishes targets/goals for selected program elements.
• Monitors and analyzes commitments and obligations of contract, supply, TDY, credit card and other expenditures versus fund availability to ensure sufficiency.
• Provides supervisor a regular report of reimbursements and overall status of program.
• Prepares a variety of financial reports covering status of funds, expenses, reimbursements and obligations.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing regulatory guidance to management regarding the availability of funds; preparing reports relative to the status of funds, expenses and obligations; AND utilizing automated financial systems to maintain accounting and financial data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as: accounting, finance, business administration, and economics. OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
