Full job description

1st Shift: Mon – Fri 6:00AM - 2:30PM, Weekend Coverage as needed

What you will do:

As a Senior Engineering Technician you will be independently responsible for providing technical support and coverage for the equipment within Stryker Medical Plant. Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day production and project execution as it relates to process development, equipment downtime, process improvements and equipment commissioning, as well as the following below:

  • Document safety and actively lead 6S concerns within immediate area and plant-wide production area

  • Work closely with engineering and operation teams to recommend, specify and implement upgrades, replacements and new equipment purchases

  • Document results of all projects, providing in depth analysis on improvements and opportunities and communicates to team leader and team members as needed

  • Work directly with vendors on tooling, process improvements for existing or new applications

  • Specify tooling for new or existing processes, work closely with MPLs to guide orders and tooling sustainment

  • Consult and act as liaison of operations and engineering team with advanced operations to design and plan solutions for implementing new technology on production floor

  • Train employees on fabrication processes and inspects/tests results and applicants, as needed

  • Support Day-to-day production in operations via technical troubleshooting, problem solving and advising on equipment tooling, operation (PLC controlled custom equipment)

  • Assist in validation activities within engineering team, including periodic reviews, equipment qualifications, process validations, PPAPs

What you will need:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School or GED

  • Proficiency in the use of calibrated devices and in the reading of detailed mechanical prints

  • Minimum of 3 or more years' of controls experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of manufacturing, controls, maintenance, or engineering technician experience.

  • Experience partnering with Engineering and Operations teams on equipment improvements and manufacturing projects.

  • Experience with equipment commissioning, validations, and process improvements.

  • Experience troubleshooting automated equipment and PLC-controlled systems.

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Python, SQL, or Minitab.

  • Welding, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing experience.

$28.01 - $38.75 per hour plus bonus eligible + benefits.
