Full job description

Part-Time Optical Lab Technician We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Optical Technician to join our optical team. The Position is ideal for someone with hands on optical experience who is knowledgeable in lens preparation, edging, fitting and dispensing. Responsibilities include: * Operate and maintain optical lab equipment, including an edger and lenosometer * Cut, edge, and prepare lenses accurately according to prescriptions * Identify and understand different lens types, including single vision, bifocal and progressive lenses * Verify lens measurements and prescriptions * Assist with dispensing eye wear and ensuring proper fit and measurements * Inspect finished eye wear for quality an accuracy * Work closely with Optician and staff to provide excellent customer service * Maintain and organized, clean, and efficient lab Qualifications: * Previous optical lab or optician experience preferred * Strong knowledge of lenses, prescriptions, measurements, and eye wear * Comfortable operating and edger and lensometer * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work independently while being a part of a team * Profession and dependable with excellent communication skills Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 2-3 days per week- must be flexible with schedule. Pay: $20.00 per hour, based on experience if you are outgoing, reliable, professional and enjoy working with people, we would love to hear from you!
