Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm | Job Location Type: In Person

Sheppard Pratt School in Lanham is a nonpublic special education day school providing educational, therapeutic, and daily living services to students ages 5-21. Our tailored programs cater to individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other health impairments, ensuring each student receives the support they need to thrive. Every aspect of our school is carefully crafted to meet the unique needs of our students. From the moment students enter our doors, they are greeted by the warm smiles of our dedicated staff and surrounded by sensory-engaging elements like bubble tables and 50-gallon fish tank.

What to expect.

You will perform a full range of occupational therapy (OT) services according to professional standards. This includes:

  • Identifying, assessing, diagnosing, and treating students to develop individualized therapy plans.

  • Promoting availability for learning, and physical and mental health well-being.

  • Overseeing and supporting the development and delivery of related staff training programs.

  • Meeting with parents/caregivers, school representatives, and other stakeholders as needed to discuss student progress and therapy plans.

  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

The pay range for this position is $60,569.60 minimum to $96,699.20 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

  • Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.

  • Active Maryland State Occupational Therapy License.

  • Current knowledge of OT theory.
