Full job description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Registration team member to join a healthcare team in Mount Vernon, Washington. This Long-term Contract position focuses on welcoming patients, coordinating registration activities, and supporting front-desk communication in a busy clinical environment. The role is ideal for someone who is organized, service-minded, and comfortable handling sensitive information with accuracy and care.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and complete registration for outpatient appointments and emergency visits with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Manage incoming calls through the main switchboard and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments or staff members.

  • Communicate urgent announcements by paging emergency codes and other critical messages when needed.

  • Update, verify, and maintain patient demographic and account information within registration systems.

  • Provide courteous assistance to patients, families, and internal staff while addressing questions and resolving routine issues.

  • Support scheduling, insurance-related intake steps, and other administrative tasks that help maintain smooth daily operations.

  • Follow established healthcare procedures and privacy standards while working with confidential patient information.

  • Contribute effectively in a high-volume setting and assist the team with additional front-office duties as required. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Prior experience in healthcare registration, a medical office, patient access, or customer-facing support is preferred.

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a consistent focus on patient service.

  • Ability to work carefully with detailed information and maintain a high level of accuracy.

  • Comfort handling confidential records and interacting with patients in a detail-oriented manner.

  • Dependable work habits and the ability to manage responsibilities independently as well as collaboratively.
