Job Description

Insight Global is sourcing for a Data Product Owner to join a global consulting firm. The Data Product Owner represents the internal Talent/HR portfolio, acting as the bridge between technical and functional teams. As the Data Product Owner, you will lead the evolution of Talent and Staffing Analytics domain within a modern enterprise data platform built on Databricks. This role sits at the intersection of business, analytics, and engineering, translating complex data requirements into actionable product roadmaps while ensuring business stakeholders can effectively leverage talent and workforce insights. The ideal candidate combines strong product ownership capabilities with hands-on technical expertise in modern data platforms (Databricks), data modeling, SQL, and analytics. This is an independent contributor role, driving the delivery of high-value data products that support workforce planning, staffing optimization, employee lifecycle analytics, and revenue-related talent insights. This position will be a 6-month contract with opportunities for extension or conversion, hybrid one day onsite in the Boston or Chicago office.

Compensation: $_60 /hr. to $80/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on day one of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

-7+ years of experience in Data Product Management, Product Ownership, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Strategy, or data management -Background or previous experience support HR Data-recruiting, full employee lifecycle, attrition, staffing, workforce analytics, etc. -Technical depth-experience with Databricks, writing SQL queries, and understanding of Medallion architecture -Experience building end-to-end product roadmap and driving transformations -Proven experience translating business reporting requirements into technical stories -Experience working cross functionally, supporting business and technical teams -Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
