across the health system. As the Financial Systems & Reporting Lead, you

will play a key role in the comprehensive redesign and implementation of UCLA

Health's funds flow model and supporting systems. You will translate approved

funds flow methodologies into scalable data structures, business rules, and

reporting tools while supporting physician attribution, productivity reporting,

This role partners closely with Finance, the Office of

Health Informatics and Analytics, and operational stakeholders to strengthen

reporting accuracy, data integrity, automation, and business intelligence

capabilities.

In this role, you will:

  • Translate funds flow methodologies and financial assumptions into system

structures, and maintain documentation for data definitions and calculation

methodologies.

  • Design and maintain funds flow data architecture and reporting environments

in partnership with Finance, the Office of Health Informatics and Analytics,

and operational stakeholders.

  • Develop data requirements, integrate financial, clinical, and operational

data; build scalable, automated solutions that improve reporting efficiency and

reduce reliance on manual processes.

  • Develop executive, departmental, and operational reports, dashboards,

analytical tools, forecasts, and recommendations that support physician

attribution, productivity reporting, and funding allocation.

  • Lead data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis across multiple

source systems to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial

calculations and reporting outputs.

  • Establish data quality standards, controls, testing plans, and monitoring

processes for system enhancements, reporting changes, and model updates.

  • Consult with technical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements,

evaluate data sources, resolve data management issues, and provide guidance on

business intelligence, reporting, and analytics best practices.

  • Support training, adoption, and effective use of business intelligence tools

and reporting solutions.

Salary Range:

$98,200 to $214,600 annually

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business

Analytics, Data Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of

education, training, and experience.

  • Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in business

intelligence, financial systems, analytics, reporting, data management, or

related functions.

  • Demonstrated expertise in business intelligence, advanced analytics, data

architecture, and reporting best practices.

  • Ability to serve as a technical leader and advisor on business intelligence,

analytics, reporting strategy, and data management best practices.

  • Advanced knowledge of database structures, data modeling,

business intelligence tools, reporting platforms, and enterprise data

environments.

  • Ability to translate complex business and financial requirements into

scalable data solutions and reporting structures.

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, data extraction, data transformation, and large

dataset management.

  • Advanced analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with the

ability to investigate and resolve highly complex data and reporting issues.

  • Ability to evaluate data quality, perform reconciliations, validate results,

and establish data governance practices.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical and financial information

effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and consulting skills with the ability to

collaborate effectively with executives, operational leaders, technical teams,

and other stakeholders.

  • Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau or

similar business intelligence platforms.

  • Advanced organizational and project management skills with

the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an academic healthcare, medical center, physician

practice plan, or health system environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, funds flow
