Job Description

The Director, Corporate Partnerships is one of two Directors, Corporate Partnerships who together lead corporate fundraising strategy, serving as co-architects of cause marketing collaborations, corporate sponsorships, and corporate philanthropy relationships that fuel revenue growth. Reporting to the Senior Director, Development, this individual shares responsibility with a peer Director, Corporate Partnerships for building, managing, and growing a diversified portfolio of corporate partners, with each Director owning a distinct segment of the portfolio and jointly overseeing the corporate partnerships team.

This role also directly supervises the Manager, Prospect Research & Stewardship, ensuring that prospect identification, research, and stewardship activities effectively support the corporate partnerships pipeline and partner retention.

The two Directors work in close partnership with one another and with the Senior Director, Development to expand the corporate revenue base.

This role requires deep expertise in corporate fundraising and partnership development, a proven track record of closing and stewarding six- and seven-figure corporate commitments, and the ability to operate collaboratively alongside a peer Director while exercising significant independence, creativity, and strategic judgment within one’s own portfolio.

Incumbents typically have 8 or more years of progressive experience in corporate partnerships, sponsorship, or related revenue-generating roles and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with substantive supervisory experience.

Targeting $45-75 an hour

Skills and Requirements

8+ years of progressive nonprofit corporate partnerships, sponsorship, or related development experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.

  • Demonstrated success building and closing six- and seven-figure corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and cause-marketing campaigns.

  • Experience overseeing or working closely with a prospect research function a plus.

  • Experience negotiating and managing complex corporate agreements, including cause marketing and sponsorship contracts.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and executive-level partner presentation experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Familiarity with the aging, health equity, or economic justice sectors a plus.
