Fleet Operations Manager

Location: Avenel, NJ Linden, NJ Staten Island, NY

Pay: $23.00-$26.00/hour

Work Environment

Onsite position supporting fleet operations across New Jersey and New York locations. The role focuses on maintaining fleet readiness, coordinating service providers, supporting customers, and ensuring operational efficiency throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday

  • Standard business hours

  • Travel between nearby operational sites as needed

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: $23.00-$26.00/hour

Duration: 9-Month Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

As a Fleet Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day fleet activities while delivering a high level of customer service and operational support. You will coordinate vehicle maintenance, manage vendor relationships, perform inspections, maintain records, and help improve fleet performance and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned fleet operations and vehicle inventory

  • Conduct detailed vehicle inspections

  • Coordinate detailing, cleaning, and refueling services

  • Schedule maintenance and repair activities

  • Maintain accurate operational records and fleet documentation

  • Support customer accounts and resolve fleet-related issues

  • Build strong relationships with clients and vendors

  • Monitor fleet performance and operational metrics

  • Recommend process improvements and cost-saving opportunities

  • Ensure vehicles meet readiness and service standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • Fleet management, logistics, transportation, or rental experience

  • Strong customer service background

  • Experience working with vendors and service providers

  • Excel and data entry proficiency

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Staten Island, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
