Full job description

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support advanced semiconductor metrology systems at customer sites. This individual will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize metrology equipment while serving as a customer-facing technical resource. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and communication skills are critical.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain semiconductor metrology systems

Support tool installations, upgrades, and customer training

Analyze tool performance data and assist with process improvement

Manage spare parts inventory and service reporting

Collaborate with customers, engineering, and sales teams

Provide technical support in the fab environment while adhering to safety and operational procedures

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of engineering, equipment engineering, field service, maintenance, or semiconductor manufacturing experience

Semiconductor industry experience and understanding of fab environments/processes

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data, trends, graphs, and dashboards

Comfortable working with large Excel datasets

Customer-facing communication skills

Willingness to work compressed day/night rotating schedules

Ability to travel up to 20% for training
