Full job description

Hello, we’re Instrumentl. 👋 Nonprofits do some of the most important work in the world, and most of them are still managing grants in spreadsheets. We’re fixing that. Instrumentlis a profitable, hypergrowth, YC-backed SaaS platform building the operating system for grant-funded organizations. We’re doubling year over year, customers love us (NPS 65+, Ellis PMF 60+), and we’re hiring people who want to build something that matters. About the role: We're hiring an Outbound Sales Development Representative , reporting to the Senior Sales Development Manager, to build and own Instrumentl's cold outbound motion from the ground up. If you want to do meaningful sales work and build a career at the same time, this is the role. What you'll do: Outbound Prospecting

  • Drive top-of-funnel volume through cold calls, emails, and follow-through, with a target of 400+ dials per week
  • Research and identify high-potential nonprofits and universities that could benefit from Instrumentl but aren't yet in our pipeline
  • Partner with Account Executives to build and work targeted account lists

Pipeline & Collaboration

  • Book a consistent volume of qualified demos each week by leading with curiosity and customer empathy
  • Track account and decision-maker details in our CRM to set the sales team up to close

What we're looking for:

  • You have spent at least one (1) year selling, or 3+ years in another industry and want to get into sales
  • You are comfortable in fast-paced environments, and you bring a dose of humility and a sense of humor to work every day.
  • You welcome feedback, champion new ideas, and encourage others to do likewise.
  • You’re curious and are constantly ‘getting to the bottom of things’
  • You have a bias towards action
  • You don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and doing hard work
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits: For US-based candidates, the target compensation for this role is $70,000 base salary plus $25,000 variable, for an OTE of $95,000. Final compensation is determined based on experience, skillset, scope of responsibility, interview performance, and geographic location. We’re committed to paying competitively and equitably. Benefits

  • 100% covered health, dental, and vision insurance for employees (50% for dependents)
  • Generous PTO, including parental leave
  • 401(k)
  • Company laptop and home-office stipend
  • Bi-annual company retreats Instrumentl is evolving rapidly.
