Full job description

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate an exceptional client experience to clients as they onboard into the fund(s), require reporting and when they ultimately redeem.

  • Prepare investor correspondence for private equity funds, including quarterly reports, capital calls, distributions, and ad hoc client communications.

  • Coordinate with fund vendors to support investor access, communications, reporting, and account setup and maintenance.

  • Manage daily Operations team inbound requests, including monitoring, routing, and responding to client and partner inquiries.

  • Liaise with clearing and custody, distribution partners, and technology platforms to support investor transactions, reporting, inquiries, invoicing and general support.

  • Support distribution and platform fee management, including fee tracking, payment coordination, and related reconciliation activities.

  • Support redemption offer preparation and execution, including coordination of required communications, documentation, processing timelines, and related follow-up activities.

  • Understand the fund structures, portfolios, and where to obtain key information for diligence requests.

  • Support the tracking of internal KPIs and metrics to track business growth and reporting to senior management.

  • Assist and manage inbound requests including various projects and analyses for the private wealth and StepStone Group teams.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Team player with a strong work ethic and an interest in private markets and/or private wealth.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.

  • Highly organized and self-directed individual who pays close attention to detail and can multi-task among various projects.

  • Committed to meeting deadlines and progressing workstreams across multiple teams.

  • Effective and clear communication skills, both verbally and written, with all levels of personnel, both internal and external.

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with proven track record of leading projects and initiatives from beginning to end.

  • Highly motivated, ambitious, individual with a growth mindset that flourishes in a challenging, fast-paced, and professional environment with frequent shifts of priorities as business needs dictate.

  • Support the on-going diligence of distributors and platforms.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Copilot.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Experience with client service, investor relations or other roles where proactive external and internal communications was required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, accounting, business, or other related degree preferred.

  • Minimum 1 to 5 years of client service or private wealth operations experience.
