Be fit. Change lives. Have fun.
Are you an experienced fitness leader ready to build exceptional coaching teams and shape the member experience across two Orangetheory Fitness studios?
Orangetheory Fitness South Lyon and our new Novi studio are seeking a Regional Fitness Director to lead fitness operations, coaching quality, and team development across both locations.
This is a hands-on, multi-studio leadership role for someone who can think strategically, coach and develop people, and still bring energy to the studio floor. You will partner directly with Ownership, Studio Managers, and Head Coaches to recruit and retain strong talent, deliver consistent Orangetheory experiences, and create a connected, high-performing fitness culture across the region.
If you are driven, positive, highly organized, and excited by the opportunity to help build a new studio while strengthening an established one, we would love to meet you!

• Lead the Regional Fitness Vision: Set clear standards, priorities, and expectations for the fitness departments at South Lyon and Novi, translating ownership goals and Orangetheory initiatives into consistent studio execution.
- Develop Fitness Leaders: Lead, mentor, and hold Head Coaches accountable through regular one-on-one meetings, class observations, performance evaluations, action plans, and ongoing leadership development.
• Recruit and Build the Team: Partner with Ownership and studio leadership to identify staffing needs; recruit, screen, audition, select, certify, onboard, and retain qualified coaches for both locations.
• Protect Coaching Quality: Conduct regular class observations, coach evaluations, and fitness audits to ensure safe, engaging, energetic, and brand-aligned Orangetheory workouts.
• Lead Training and Continuing Education: Facilitate OTFit training as qualified, template education, coach workshops, quarterly development sessions, and ongoing education based on team and studio needs.
• Optimize Schedules and Coverage: Work with Head Coaches and Studio Managers to build effective class schedules, maintain dependable coaching coverage, plan for growth, and manage fitness payroll responsibly across both studios.
• Drive Fitness Performance: Monitor class utilization, attendance, coach capacity, member feedback, retention, and other relevant performance indicators. Develop and execute plans to improve results.
• Support the Member Experience: Build meaningful member relationships and guide studio leaders in resolving fitness-related concerns with urgency, professionalism, and a commitment to service recovery.
• Activate the Brand: Partner with studio leadership on benchmarks, challenges, DriTri, specialty programs, workshops, community events, and new-studio launch initiatives that increase engagement and strengthen the Orangetheory community.
• Maintain Compliance: Ensure all coaches maintain approved fitness credentials, CPR/AED certification, Orangetheory education, and compliance with brand, safety, and continuing education requirements.
• Coach and Lead by Example: Maintain a consistent coaching presence across both studios while balancing regional leadership responsibilities and providing additional coverage when business needs require it.
• Communicate with Ownership: Provide consistent updates on staffing, performance, development priorities, fitness initiatives, risks, and opportunities across both locations.
