This position is located at Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration(TIGTA) ,Office of Data Analytics. As a Data Liaison, the primary responsibility is conducting data liaison activities that support TIGTA's overall mission

Duties

These positions can be filled in any of the following TIGTA locations: Fresno CA, Denver CO, Washington DC, Chamblee GA, Baltimore MD, Kansas City MO, New York NY, Cincinnati OH, Memphis TN, or Ogden UT. TIGTA employees will remain at assigned duty location as long as they are located at any TIGTA core office. As a Data Liaison, you will: Independently organize and lead comprehensive TIGTA-wide studies and analyses of data acquisition and data governance processes to identify systemic barriers affecting audits, investigations, inspections and evaluations, integrity projects, and risk assessments, where the scope, data sources, stakeholder responsibilities, and study boundaries are initially uncertain and must be developed as the study progresses. Prepare operational directives, memoranda, policy statements, or written guidelines resulting from projects, studies, or analyses. Provide technical expertise, leadership and support to ensure that all involved parties work effectively towards the goals and timely completion of the project. Plan, coordinate, and direct cross-functional study teams or working groups and negotiates with affected offices to obtain acceptance and implementation of recommendations. Requirements

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience for the GS-13, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: - Identifying and analyzing data and systems that are necessary for auditors, evaluators, and investigators to complete their mission-critical work; AND - Working with other IT officials to resolve barriers to accessing data and systems; AND - Preparing policies, procedures, and relevant training for analyzing and managing data and system access; AND - Experience with the IRS tax processing systems and the data housed on the systems to facilitate gaining access to sensitive tax information for audit, inspection and evaluation, and investigation execution and data analysis purposes. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
