Full job description

CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer – Snowflake & AWS/Azure position for our client.

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 4 months

Duties:

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise data management and analytics solutions.

  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and cloud-based technologies.

  • Design, build, and maintain data warehouses and data integration solutions using platforms such as Snowflake and Teradata.

  • Develop complex data engineering components and integrate software packages, applications, programs, and reusable objects across various platforms.

  • Work with large-scale data processing technologies including Spark, Hadoop, and PySpark.

  • Develop efficient data solutions using Python and SQL.

  • Optimize data pipelines, queries, data models, and warehouse performance for enterprise-scale workloads.

  • Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources into centralized analytics environments.

  • Implement data security, governance, quality, and compliance best practices.

  • Troubleshoot data integration and performance issues and identify opportunities to improve reliability and scalability.

  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.

Skills:

  • Strong experience with Snowflake and enterprise data warehousing.

  • Strong ETL/ELT development experience.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

  • Proficiency with big data technologies, including Spark, Hadoop, and PySpark.

  • Strong Python and SQL programming skills.

  • Experience with relational databases and data warehouse technologies, including Teradata and Snowflake.

  • Knowledge of data security, governance, quality, and compliance principles.

  • Strong understanding of scalable data and analytics architectures.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to design and integrate complex data solutions across multiple platforms.

Experience:

  • Proven experience working as a Data Engineer in enterprise data environments.

  • Experience designing, developing, integrating, and managing large-scale data management systems.

  • Experience building and optimizing scalable data warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines.

  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and services across AWS and Azure.

  • Experience integrating applications, software packages, and reusable data components across heterogeneous environments.

  • Experience supporting enterprise analytics and data solutions with an emphasis on performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
