About the role

As a Senior Facets Technical Product Consultant, you will make an impact by designing, optimizing, and implementing complex Facets solutions that support healthcare payer operations and digital transformation initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Consulting team and work collaboratively with product owners, business stakeholders, development teams, operations teams, and healthcare domain experts to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

In this role, you will:

Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end Facets technical solutions across claims, membership, eligibility, enrollment, and billing functions.

Analyze existing Facets environments, identify configuration and performance improvement opportunities, and develop enhancement strategies to improve operational efficiency.

Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and solution designs.

Guide development teams in implementing Facets customizations, integrations, and extensions while ensuring alignment with best practices and enterprise standards.

Oversee testing activities, including unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing, to ensure solution quality and production readiness.

Collaborate with data, integration, and operations teams to optimize data movement, interfaces, and business processes across healthcare platforms.

Provide advanced production support, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve system stability and reliability.

Mentor consultants and technical team members by sharing expertise in Facets technologies, payer operations, and product consulting best practices.

Support strategic initiatives related to digital transformation, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and value-based care programs.

What you need to have to be considered

13+ years of experience in product consulting, systems analysis, or technology consulting roles supporting enterprise healthcare platforms.

Deep hands-on expertise with Facets configuration, customization, integrations, performance tuning, and production support.

Strong knowledge of healthcare payer operations, including eligibility, enrollment, benefits, authorizations, claims adjudication, and billing processes.

Experience gathering requirements, creating solution documentation, and translating business objectives into technical designs.

Proven ability to lead complex healthcare technology initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Experience with test planning, defect management, release coordination, and production deployment activities.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work effectively within a hybrid, distributed team environment.

These will help you stand out

Facets technical training or certification.

Professional certifications related to healthcare IT, payer operations, benefits administration, or claims processing.

Experience supporting large-scale healthcare transformation programs.

Expertise with healthcare system integrations, data migration initiatives, and enterprise architecture practices.

Experience mentoring technical consultants and leading solution delivery teams.

Knowledge of value-based care initiatives, healthcare regulations, and emerging industry trends.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $99K - $115K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
