Dietitian I - Clinical Nutrition (PRN / Days)

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093-7914

Work hours: PRN "As Needed", 24 - 40 hours per week

Clinical Nutrition Department Highlights:

  • Our clinical dietitian team is trained to cover all patient populations from NICU, ICU, and all other units outside of critical care areas

  • The team is very supportive of each other and very collaborative

  • We prioritize our daily workload as a team to meet the needs of the most critical patients to provide the best outcomes and care.

Here's What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related area Req

  • 1 Year health care experience Pref

  • RD - Registered Dietitian 6 Months Req And

  • LD - Licensed Dietitian 6 Months Req

  • Nutrition support experience preferred

What You Will Do

  • Utilizes each step of the Nutrition Care Process effectively and efficiently to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patient populations.

  • Promotes teamwork and supports organizational goals by demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and shift assignments. When indicated, willingly takes on work to even out case load or meet schedule deadlines.

  • Effectively collaborates with peers so that essential shifts are covered.

  • Promotes safe and effective care through effective communication and workflow practices, including the use of THR specific and High Reliability Organization (HRO) communication and safety strategies.

  • Promotes Quality in Practice through systematic measurement of outcomes, regular performance evaluations, and continuous improvement.

  • Maintains competence through ongoing self-evaluation and study aimed at identifying and closing relevant professional knowledge and/or performance gaps.
