POSITION SUMMARY

The Internal Account Manager (IAM) will be responsible for lead generation, upsells and total attainment of laboratory diagnostic services to accounts within an assigned territory through tele-sales as well as in person visits. The IAM book of business typically consists of accounts with less than $4,000 average monthly revenue.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  1. Develops and implements sales plan to target accounts for growth in line with regional market strategy.

  2. Manages account inquiries in a manner to minimize account attrition and negative volume variance.

  3. Prospects new business opportunities and evaluate potential growth opportunities of existing clients.

  4. Analyzes targeted accounts and develops recommendations to acquire their business through information collection, marketing initiatives, sales call cycle, etc.

  5. Drives sales through pre-call planning, post-call analysis and follow-up.

  6. Analyzes the utilization/profitability of existing accounts, then develops and executes action plans to increase these returns.

  7. Educates customers on all new products and services through telemarketing.

  8. Maintains a breadth of knowledge of all connectivity products and solutions (i.e., Quanum, EMR interfaces)

  9. Develops and maintains knowledge of tests and services provided by competitors and utilize this information to solidify or enhance Sonora Quest Laboratories’ market position.

  10. Field travel to build stronger relationships, develop sales/service acumen and close select leads with SAEs, PMs, and AMs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.

  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively speak to groups of people in a public setting.

  • Ability to effectively identify client needs and to collaborate with others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma.

  • Two (2) years’ experience in a sales or client services capacity in a Healthcare environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Business, Marketing, or the Life Sciences, or comparable career experience

  • Sales experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Healthcare/Laboratory Industry and general economics of business

  • Additional related education and/or experience.
