Regulatory Pharmacy Coordinator

As a Regulatory Pharmacy Coordinator, you will coordinate and facilitate compliance with pharmacy-related projects and programs. You will serve as a liaison between Pharmacy and various Cleveland Clinic professionals, fostering collaboration and supporting the successful implementation of pharmacy initiatives, projects, and programs.

A caregiver in this position will work Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. OR 8:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. No holidays, weekends or on-call responsibilities. Caregivers will be able to work 3 days from home after the initial 90 days, and 2 days on site at Florida Research and Innovation Center and surrounding regional hospitals including Weston, Tradition, Martin North and South or Indian River.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Identify and define priorities to achieve regulatory and accreditation standards, lead process improvement initiatives and develop policies and procedures related to assigned area within Pharmacy (i.e. medication accreditation, drug information center).

• Lead or coordinate multiple projects, initiatives or activities for assigned area; develop milestones and track progress; and reviews, collect and analyze data (i.e. medication safety data, formulary specialty panels).

• Act as a liaison for the department and lead or participate in committees within the Pharmacy Division and across the health-system.

• Participate in the development and delivery of education programs.

• Maintain pharmacy resources for assigned area.

• May assist with orientation/training and developing of the schedule for employees in assigned area.

• Assess compliance within inpatient pharmacies and ambulatory care clinics.

• Monitor adherence to medication management regulations, policies, and accreditation standards.

• Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and operational assessments.

• Support regulatory inspections, accreditation surveys, and readiness initiatives.

• Partner with pharmacy leaders, nurses, physicians, and operational stakeholders on compliance-related projects.

• Identify opportunities to mitigate regulatory and operational risks.

• Develop and lead projects designed to address compliance gaps and improve medication-use processes.

• Collaborate across departments to implement corrective actions and sustain compliance efforts.

• Build relationships with clinical and operational teams throughout the Florida market.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy

• One year of experience in healthcare setting

• Six months of on-the-job training to learn departmental procedures, CC policies and applicable State and Federal Rules and Laws.

• Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh)

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Advanced degree

• Strong inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably within a hospital setting.

• Experience with medication safety, regulatory compliance, accreditation, or quality initiatives is highly preferred.

• Understanding of medication-use processes and pharmacy operations.

• Ability to work independently while leading projects and building collaborative relationships.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

• May require frequent standing, walking, or sitting.

• Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
