Role Overview
The Clinical Training Specialist delivers clinical, systems, onboarding, operational, regulatory, compliance, and professional-skills training to clinical and non-clinical associates who support members. The role facilitates training for internal and external audiences, follows standard operating procedures to meet business needs, supports adult learners through effective communication and facilitation, and applies the ADDIE model to update existing materials and develop new training solutions for planned and ad hoc requests.
Work Arrangement

Remote role; must be able to work in Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST

Travel based on business needs within our national footprint for in person/on site training
Responsibilities
-
Spend approximately 80% of the role facilitating training and 20% developing or updating training materials.

Facilitate engaging clinical, systems, onboarding, operational, regulatory, compliance, and professional-skills training for internal and external audiences in accordance with standard operating procedures and business needs.

Identify training needs, determine the most effective training modality, and participate in curriculum and training-plan development.

Apply the ADDIE model to update existing training materials and create new solutions for planned and ad hoc training requests.

Develop presentations, participant or learner guides, job aids, interactive activities, and knowledge checks or assessments.

Schedule sessions in the learning management system, record attendance and completions, and run reports.

Evaluate training effectiveness through knowledge checks, learner participation, post-training performance data, and leader or stakeholder feedback.

Provide coaching, remediation, refresher training, and other post-training support as appropriate.

Partner with LMS Technologists, subject-matter experts, operational leaders, Compliance, Quality, clinical leadership, and project teams.

Manage invitations, attendance, virtual classrooms, class communications, and the identification and resolution of training barriers.

Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in nursing, social work, behavioral health, education, or a related field preferred
-
Master’s degree preferred
-
Minimum of 3 years of combined clinical, case management, or utilization management experience, including direct case management and/or utilization management experience.

Experience in managed care and Medicaid or Medicare.
-
Experience facilitating instructor-led training or presentations in virtual environments; in-person facilitation experience is preferred.

Group facilitation experience, including the ability to engage learners, manage group dynamics, respond professionally to questions, and adjust pacing and delivery based on learner needs.

Experience creating presentations, participant or learner guides, job aids, interactive activities, and knowledge checks or assessments; experience creating facilitator guides is preferred.

Experience using electronic medical record or care-management systems.

Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, organization, and time-management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.

Experience developing and delivering clinical or healthcare training preferred.
-
Working knowledge of adult learning principles and experience applying them to training delivery preferred.

Experience using the ADDIE model preferred.

Experience using a learning management system, Microsoft Forms, and Smartsheet preferred.

Experience with data analysis and reporting preferred.
Licensure and Certification
-
Active and unencumbered RN, LCSW, LSW, or LPC license from any state required
-
Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification preferred.
