Description
The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS)

Required Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED
-
Upon hire: Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee Or
-
Upon hire: Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License
-
1 year of minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified
Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training and Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program

Upon hire: Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state

Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
