Full job description

  • Position Summary The Nursing Excellence Intern will support the Director of Nursing Professional Practice in advancing nursing excellence initiatives across the organization.

  • Position Responsibilities The intern will assist with preparation of the Magnet Recognition Program® document submission, development of the annual nursing report, coordination of nursing shared decision-making councils, and support of the nursing certification task force. Assist with project management activities related to nursing excellence and professional practice initiatives.

  • Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education): Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Teams).

  • Preferred: Interest in healthcare leadership, professional practice, healthcare quality, or Magnet Recognition. Experience with data analysis, report writing, project coordination, or meeting facilitation. Familiarity with healthcare environments.

Required:

Strong communication skills, independent worker, intuitive, strong initiative, and critical thinking skills

Excel and Word proficiency
