Full job description

Pay: $25.00/hr.

Shift: Full-time

Advanced Houston Specialty Hospital is looking for Supply Technician in our newly renovated facility at 205 Hollow Tree Lane, Spring, TX .

Position Summary:

Reports to the hospital business manager. Responsible for planning and organizing procurement of supplies for facility operation in compliance with Advanced Specialty Hospitals (ASH) and contract directives.

Essential Functions:

  1. Plan, organize, and implement the preparation of specifications for commodities and equipment.

  2. Inspect all incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and required specifications are met.

  3. Maintain perpetual inventory controls through the use of established systems including computerized programs.

  4. Complete purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies and forward to the business manager for approval.

  5. Coordinate the receipt, storage, and issuance of warehouse items.

  6. Deliver supplies to requesting departments.

  7. Ensure adherence to quality standards, required delivery schedules, and contractual terms.

  8. Support administrative processes in reconciling inventory transactions and charges for goods.

  9. Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures affecting procurement.

  10. Requires long periods of walking and standing and lifting over 50 lbs.

  11. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.

  12. Maintain accountability of property; adhere to safety practices.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her scope of work as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, and three (3) years’ experience in inventory, stock control, record keeping or purchasing required. Experience in automated computer system and computer proficiency required. Must successfully complete required pre-service training. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Post Hire Requirements:

Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility clearance.
