United Protective Services is hiring Security Flex Officers to provide professional security coverage at client locations throughout Austin and surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for security professionals who want variety, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to work at different client locations while building valuable security experience.

Position Details

• Pay: $17.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and assignment

• Location: Austin and surrounding areas

• Schedule: Flexible assignments with varying shifts and days

This is a true Flex Officer position. Officers should be comfortable working different locations, adapting to different site requirements, and providing coverage when client needs change.

What You'll Do

• Provide professional security coverage at assigned client locations

• Patrol and monitor properties

• Monitor employees, visitors, contractors, and client assets

• Control access according to site procedures

• Follow site-specific post orders and security protocols

• Respond appropriately to security concerns and incidents

• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports

• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and supervisors

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence

• Adapt quickly to different locations, procedures, and assignments

Required

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to work at different locations throughout the Austin area

• Flexible availability

• Strong communication and customer-service skills

• Professional appearance and conduct

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Dependable attendance and punctuality

Preferred

• Previous security experience

• Experience working multiple security sites

• Strong report-writing skills

• Access control or patrol experience

• Incident-response experience

• Experience working independently

• Proven ability to adapt to changing assignments
