Web Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a Web Developer to join a collaborative application development team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting customer-facing web applications and enterprise integrations. This individual will partner closely with technical leads, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and user-focused solutions. The ideal candidate has experience with Angular, TypeScript, Java, and REST APIs, along with strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to take ownership of projects from design through production support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems, working directly with stakeholders, and contributing to modern web application development initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing web applications using Angular and TypeScript Develop and support Java/Spring Boot services and RESTful APIs Build and maintain integrations with enterprise systems and third-party platforms Process and manage JSON and XML data exchanges Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical planning Perform unit testing and execute automated test scripts for localized testing Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application issues Participate in peer code reviews and follow established coding standards Maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations, and enhancements Contribute to CI/CD processes, deployment activities, and release management Follow secure coding practices and incorporate security throughout the development lifecycle Support production applications through monitoring, root cause analysis, and issue resolution

Skills and Requirements

Minimum 5 years' development experience Experience developing web applications using Angular Strong TypeScript and JavaScript experience Java development experience Spring Boot and/or Spring Framework experience REST API development and integration experience Experience working with JSON and XML data Experience integrating enterprise applications and third-party systems Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies Experience with Git/GitHub and pull request workflows Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools Unit testing experience (JUnit or similar) Experience participating in code reviews and collaborative development environments Understanding of secure coding practices and application security concepts Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders Demonstrated accountability, ownership, and sound decision-making skills Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions MuleSoft experience MUnit testing experience Oracle CC&B experience Experience supporting customer-facing web applications Utility industry experience NeoLoad performance testing experience HTML5 and CSS3 experience Experience with IVA (Intelligent Virtual Assistant) platforms Experience with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) platforms Mobile application development exposure Knowledge of OAuth, SAML, MFA, or other authentication technologies API performance optimization and troubleshooting experience Computer Science degree Experience working on modernization efforts involving APIs, integrations, and middleware transformations Exposure to .NET, Python, or PHP development environments
