Full job description
Description We are looking for a knowledgeable Loan Administrator to support residential mortgage lending activities in Lubbock, Texas. This role blends client service, loan coordination, and credit-related expertise to help move applications efficiently from initial contact through closing. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with mortgage documentation, underwriting practices, and business development within local banking markets.
Responsibilities:

Build and strengthen relationships with borrowers, referral partners, and community contacts to expand mortgage lending opportunities within the bank’s service area.

Manage residential mortgage files through each stage of the lending cycle, ensuring timely progress from application intake to final closing.

Review financial and property documentation to support sound lending decisions and confirm alignment with applicable underwriting guidelines.

Prepare and coordinate required mortgage disclosures and loan documents in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Work closely with internal teams and external partners to resolve file conditions, clear exceptions, and maintain momentum on active loans.

Promote mortgage products by identifying customer needs, presenting suitable financing options, and helping drive new loan production.

Maintain accurate loan records, payoff details, and supporting documentation throughout the administration process.

Monitor compliance requirements tied to licensing, registration, and residential lending practices to support audit-ready files. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in mortgage loan processing, including preparation of compliant disclosure packages.

2 to 3 years of background in residential mortgage underwriting and loan origination.

Demonstrated success promoting mortgage lending products in local or regional banking markets.

Strong ability to cultivate referral networks and convert opportunities into funded mortgage volume.

Solid understanding of residential lending guidelines, credit evaluation, and required loan documentation.

Active mortgage-related registration and licensing as required by federal and state regulations.

Ability to remain eligible under applicable mortgage lending regulatory standards.
