Retail Support Director

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, people-first leader to oversee all operations of a large-scale Retail Support Center supporting Ace Hardware retailers throughout the East Coast region. This individual will be responsible for the overall success of the distribution center, including warehousing, logistics, transportation, inventory management, customer service, employee engagement, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate is a leader rather than a manager, with a proven ability to build trust, develop teams, drive accountability, and create a high-performing culture. This person will serve as the face of the operation with retailers while leading a 500-person distribution organization focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 7+ years of distribution, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain leadership experience

• Experience leading large-scale warehouse or distribution center operations

• Strong people leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders

• Experience managing multi-shift operations in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to drive operational performance while maintaining a strong employee-focused culture

• Financial ownership experience including budgeting, forecasting, and operational metrics

• Strong customer or retailer-facing experience

• Proven experience leading through change and organizational transformation

• Ability to build relationships and credibility across all levels of an organization Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience within retail distribution environments

• Bilingual communication skills

• Experience rebuilding culture, engagement, and trust within large operations

• Experience leading standalone or remote distribution facilities

• Exposure to transportation and logistics management functions Experience developing newly promoted leadership teams
