SUMMARY

As a Clinical Quality Improvement Consultant, you'll play a key role in advancing safe, timely, effective, efficient, and patient-centered care across MD Anderson. You'll bring clinical and quality improvement expertise to quality and safety councils, programs, and projects while partnering with leaders and multidisciplinary teams to identify performance gaps, improve clinical processes, and drive measurable outcomes at one of the world's leading cancer centers.

What's in it for you? This is an opportunity to work across the organization on complex improvement initiatives where your expertise can influence how care is delivered. You'll lead and facilitate interdisciplinary teams, assess current-state clinical workflows, identify improvement opportunities, establish meaningful performance measures, and develop evidence-based solutions. You'll apply Quality Improvement methodologies and tools-including process mapping, Pareto charts, cause-and-effect diagrams, control charts, and basic statistical analysis-to turn clinical data into actionable insights.

You'll also take ownership of projects from definition through implementation and sustainability. You'll develop project aims, milestones, workplans, timelines, data collection plans, and deliverables; analyze baseline and post-intervention results; monitor outcomes at 30, 60, and 90 days; and track the financial and ROI impact of improvement efforts. You'll collaborate closely with Clinical Leaders, Quality and Safety professionals, Healthcare Systems Engineers, and other stakeholders to define current and future-state processes and ensure improvements are practical, measurable, and sustainable.

Beyond project leadership, you'll have the opportunity to serve as a change agent and resource for teams across the organization. You'll provide education and training on quality tools, team facilitation, creative problem-solving, and improvement strategies while helping teams understand and adopt new ways of working. You'll also analyze clinical quality measures aligned with institutional quality and patient safety priorities and escalate high-risk issues and trends for resolution. MD Anderson offers competitive pay, an annual merit increase program, annual incentive opportunities, an employer-funded pension contribution, medical, dental and vision coverage, generous paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Bring your clinical expertise, analytical skills, and passion for improvement to a role where you can help transform clinical processes, strengthen patient safety, and create measurable improvements in cancer care.
