Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Pipeline Facilities Engineer to join their team. The Pipeline Facilities Engineer will serve as the technical lead for the planning, design, engineering oversight, construction support, and operational integration of natural gas metering and regulating (M&R) facilities tied to interstate and intrastate pipeline systems. This role supports the development of a major pipeline hub connecting three pipeline systems at a common delivery and pressure regulation point. Key Responsibilities Support development of a multi-pipeline hub Evaluate:

  • Pressure systems

  • Flow balancing

  • Pipeline hydraulics Develop operating philosophies for:

  • Gas receipt and delivery

  • Isolation and pressure control

  • Emergency response

$50-$60

Skills and Requirements

7+ years in pipeline facilities engineering or M&R design Direct experience with:

  • Natural gas transmission systems

  • Metering & regulation stations

  • Pipeline interconnects

  • Mainline valves

  • Pig launchers/receivers

  • Custody transfer systems

  • Pressure regulation

  • SCADA / telemetry systems

  • EPC/contractor oversight preferred Familiarity with:

  • ASME B31.8

  • API standards

  • AGA measurement standards

  • PHMSA regulations PE license preferred Interstate pipeline experience Large-scale expansion projects Gas control / scheduling knowledge Ultrasonic metering + flow computers
