This is a Washington Air National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Unit Technician position: UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR Location: 194th Force Support Squadron Camp Murray, Washington 98430 Air National Guard Units Appointment Type: Temporary, indefinite, excepted service Advertised as: ENLISTED May be used to fill one or more vacancies. Duties
A GS-0303-7, UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR: Assist Personnel Management Activities: Supports the administration of military personnel management programs including requesting personnel actions such as promotions, evaluations, awards, and leave. Provides customer service and guidance on organizational personnel policies and procedures. Monitors personnel records and supports preparation of routine personnel actions with guidance from higher graded HR Specialist. Assists with maintaining personnel files and electronic records in accordance with Air Force, Air National Guard, and local directives. Participates in tracking training requirements for assigned organization and helps coordinate developmental opportunities. Coordinates Human Resources and Administrative Support: Assists commanders, supervisors, and employees in understanding personnel policies and procedures. Collects, compiles, and organizes data for reports and briefings. Assists in maintaining accuracy of personnel records and databases, in accordance with established guidelines. Supports the workflow and assists with assignments among administrative personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks. Supports Specialized Functional Areas and Program Execution: Assists higher graded specialists in areas critical to unit operations, ensuring adherence to Air Force policies. Responsibilities may include: Administration: Supports preparation and dissemination of personnel documents and orders using automated systems. Provides basic training and guidance on Defense Travel System (DTS) processes and supports official mail and government purchase card activities. Personnel: Assists with processing and managing personnel records, evaluations, and official correspondence. Provides routine policy information and customer support. Helps ensure personnel data integrity and compliance with directives. Unit Deployment Management: Supports deployment readiness by maintaining deployment documentation and coordinating with relevant personnel offices. Assists in tracking deployment status and supports redeployment processing. Training: Assists in planning and coordinating unit training events, ensuring documentation and schedules meet requirements. Program Management**: Supports administration of special programs such as Government Purchase Card, Defense Travel System, Unit Drug Demand Reduction, Security, and Unit Recognition. Monitors compliance and provides routine advisory support. Provides Liaison and Customer Service Support: Serves as a point of contact for unit personnel and leadership regarding personnel management and administrative support. Assists in resolving routine personnel issues by coordinating with the Force Support Squadron and other agencies. Supports quality control of personnel documentation and helps maintain personnel accountability systems including Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (AFPAAS). Other duties as assigned.(temporary, minor, or incidental tasks) Requirements
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Military Grades: E3 - E6 Desired Military Assignments: 3F071 - Applicants need not be assigned to the position or possess the AFSC to apply or be considered for selection. Selected applicant must be assigned to a compatible Military position and attain AFSC within 1 year of appointment action. - May be required to successfully complete a trial period. - Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. - Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. - Must maintain membership in the WA Air National Guard for continued employment. - Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. - This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. - Position requires ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. - May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. - The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, your organization, and its changing mission. Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which indicates the candidate performed progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. See how you will be evaluated section or 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level. ***Note: To qualify under the one-year Specialized Experience (SE) provision (when stated in the SE section), you must provide either: Two SF-50s (or equivalent) showing you were in the same occupational series at the next lower grade for at least one full year. The two SF-50s must span that full one-year period, from the older SF-50 to the newer SF-50 and reflect employment with the same federal agency. -or- One SF-50 (or equivalent) if your resume shows at least one year of continuous employment in the position reflected on the SF-50 (or equivalent).
