Job Title: Line Support

Department: Manufacturing

Shift: 2nd shift

Employment Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Supervisor

Position Summary

The Line Support Team Member assists with candy production and packaging while maintaining quality, food safety, sanitation, and safety standards. This position may rotate between production lines based on business needs and requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Produce, package, and inspect candy products according to established standards.

  • Prepare ingredients, packaging materials, supplies, and equipment for production.

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and record lot numbers, date codes, and product information.

  • Check product weights, bags, labels, date codes, and packaging for accuracy.

  • Monitor metal detectors and report equipment or product issues.

  • Perform required product changes, allergen washes, and sanitation procedures.

  • Maintain clean and organized production areas and equipment.

  • Follow all GMPs, food safety, allergen-control, sanitation, and safety procedures.

  • Wear required PPE and follow all workplace safety requirements.

  • Safely move and stage products and pallets as needed.

  • Work effectively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other plant teams.

  • Work overtime as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Regular and reliable attendance is required

Required Skills and Abilities

Preferred

  • Previous food manufacturing, production, packaging, or candy manufacturing experience

  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, sanitation, and allergen control procedures.

Required

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Flexible, dependable, and works well as part of a team

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Frequently bend, reach, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive movements.

  • Ability to work safely while wearing required PPE.
