Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)
Location: Fircrest, WA
FTE: 0.625 FTE
Shift/Hours: Weekdays 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Weekends 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Rotational) | Open most major holidays
Note: University Place Pediatrics Clinic is affiliated with Seattle Children’s, and Seattle Children’s is assisting in the recruitment for this position. The candidate selected will be a direct employee of University Place Pediatrics Clinic.
About the Role
University Place Pediatrics Clinic is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our team in Fircrest, WA. In this 0.625 FTE position, you will provide direct clinical care and assume primary responsibility for managing pediatric patients presenting with acute illness and injury. You will work independently in a dynamic primary care environment both during and after standard clinic hours, delivering effective, safe, and family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care: Perform comprehensive physical exams, obtain detailed health histories, order/interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and execute evidence-based treatment plans for acute pediatric cases.

Clinical Collaboration: Work independently while consulting and collaborating with Seattle Children’s Primary Care Group physicians, subspecialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.

Quality & Performance Improvement: Actively contribute to departmental quality standards, safety initiatives, and continuous performance improvement projects aligned with Seattle Children's Primary Care Group vision and goals.

Education & Support: Engage in educational and research efforts for patients, families, and team members, incorporating patient- and family-centered care principles into daily practice.
Schedule & Working Conditions
This position is a 0.625 FTE appointment. Clinical coverage includes late afternoon/evening hours and weekend rotations to support extended-hours access for families:

Monday – Friday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Rotational)

Holidays: Open most major holidays

Work Experience
Required Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program.
One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.
Required Credentials:
Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of
Washington.
Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner.
Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration.
At time of hire: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider, Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional
staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal
probationary periods due to initial appointment.
Compensation range:
$85,825.89 - $126,226.02 (Prorated compensation)
