Job Description

EPM Unqork Developer Engineer for New York Life Insurance Company in Lebanon, NJ, to develop, configure, customize, and deploy application features on the Unqork platform to meet complex business requirements. Gather, understand, and translate business requirements into Unqork configurations. Work with architects and business stakeholders to translate architectural designs into technology solutions to ensure that applications and components are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability. Ensure mobile readiness/responsiveness in all Unqork releases. Develop into an internal SME for the agent onboarding applications. Develop integrations between the Unqork platform and all data, solutions, and services using modern integration technologies, such as REST and Webhook. Develop internal Unqork configuration competency. Partner with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to refine and analyze the backlog and drive the technical delivery of features and user stories into working software and specifications. Mentor junior developer on supervision application development for platforms, such as SII and ICFR. Assist with planning and strategy for future Production Increments (PI) for supervision and agent onboarding applications. Participate in daily standup calls, sprint planning, and PI planning sessions. Conduct assessments of complex business problems, involving multiple systems, customers, platforms, and technologies. Identify and recommend technical and architectural improvements in current systems. Support projects through the entire software development lifecycle from initial kickoff to production deployment.

Requires: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Architect, or related occupation, developing, configuring, and deploying application features or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Architect, or related occupation, developing, configuring, and deploying application features. Experience must include: 4 years of experience with .NET development and Insurance or Financial agent supervision and compliance technology; and, 1 year of experience with Unqork development and Insurance or Financial agent onboarding and personnel management technology in a Career Agency Distribution Model, including licensing and government regulation (FINRA) compliance. Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section unless otherwise stated): Performing end-to-end full stack software development in .NET/C#; Designing and implementing workflows, UI/UX components, and integrations using Unqork toolset; Performing unit testing and debugging to deliver defect-free solutions; Using data, database, and SQL for complex query creation, optimization, performance tuning, data extraction, transformation, and report development; Creating stored procedures in RBDMS – MS SQL Server; and Developing API in MS .NET or C#.
