Job Summary

The University of Utah is seeking an Assistant Swimming Coach for its men’s and women’s swimming program. This position will assist with coaching, recruiting, student-athlete development, and program operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead swim workouts.

  • Provide technical instruction and coach at competitions.

  • Evaluate swimmer performance and provide feedback.

  • Recruit qualified prospective student-athletes.

  • Support student-athlete well-being, academic success, and personal development.

  • Assist with team travel, equipment, meet operations, and administrative duties.

  • Follow all University, conference, and NCAA rules.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the Head Coach.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.

  • Several years of competitive swimming coaching experience.

  • Strong knowledge of swimming technique, training, and competition preparation.

  • Effective communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Preferences

  • Master’s degree.

  • Experience coaching elite-level swimmers.

  • Collegiate recruiting experience.
