Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Senior Software Engineer Developing software and unit tests. Developing security capabilities across cloud computing software stack. Contributing to security features to existing systems and implement new end to end systems where none exist. Implementing secure software design principles such as least privilege and defense in depth. Delivering production code in industry standard programming languages. Mastering new cloud and networking technologies. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the United States. [AG1132]

Required Qualification:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, IT, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role. Must have: Any prior academic or professional experience with the following: Threat Modeling; Vulnerability Management; Secure system and software design; Cloud Security Architecture; Identity and access management; Network Security Fundamentals; Incidence response lifecycle; Cryptography; PKI and certificate management; Static and Dynamic application security testing; Security monitoring and log analysis; and Security documentation and reporting.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $138,237-$218,600 /year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
