A thorough knowledge of transmission maintenance planning plus 5 - 10 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.

Job Description

This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating transmission maintenance activities for Energy Transmission & Substation department to ensure reliability and efficiency as it relates to transmission substations and lines. In addition, the Planner is responsible for the efficient use and continuous improvement of the associated CMMS relating to all Big Rivers’ transmission systems. Furthermore, responsible for analyzing the preventive/predictive maintenance program and making recommendations; enhance or develop maintenance work packages; recommend short- and long-term maintenance activities; maintain a safe work environment; work closely with other personnel on cost tracking/budgeting; and plan scheduled outages and prepare for any emergency outage work.

Must possess skills/knowledge in project management; preventive/predictive maintenance activities; team builder and coach; motivator and energizer; preferred knowledge of power transmission substation, line and communication equipment; ability to provide candid and constructive feedback; written and communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with strong skills in Excel, Word and Outlook; ability to learn, use, and become proficient in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain & organize maintenance records. Capable of establishing goals and objectives to support strategic initiatives; and ability to cope with and implement change.
