Job Description

Job Summary The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, pipe, fittings, and consumables supporting pipe fabrication and welding operations. This role owns inventory accuracy and transaction integrity within Infor SyteLine and leads a warehouse crew of 8-10 to ensure materials reach the shop floor on time and in the right condition to keep cutting and welding jobs running without delay. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Receiving

  • Inspect, verify, and receive incoming pipe, fittings, and materials against purchase orders and packing lists

  • Flag and document discrepancies, damage, or shortages, and coordinate resolution with Purchasing Issuing Materials

  • Pull and stage materials for shop floor jobs

  • Prioritize and sequence material issues to match the production schedule and avoid production delays ERP Transactions

  • Process all receiving, issuing, transfer, and adjustment transactions accurately and on time in Infor SyteLine

  • Maintain lot/heat traceability records in support of the facility’s QC traceability program

  • Investigate and correct transaction errors and inventory discrepancies Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate perpetual inventory counts; lead or support cycle counts and physical inventories

  • Organize and maintain warehouse layout, item locations, and labeling for efficient storage and retrieval

  • Monitor stock levels and flag reorder needs to Purchasing

  • Ensure FIFO/lot rotation and proper storage practices to prevent material damage or obsolescence Crew Supervision

  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate a warehouse crew of 8-10

  • Train staff on receiving, issuing, and ERP transaction procedures as necessary

  • Enforce safety procedures and housekeeping standards in the warehouse and staging areas

Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises a warehouse crew of 8-10, including performance management, scheduling, and day-to-day work assignment. Reports to the Plant Manager and coordinates closely with Production, Purchasing, and Management to keep materials flowing to the shop floor.

Compensation: $85k - 95K Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred

  • 5+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, including 2+ years directly supervising a team

  • Hands-on experience processing inventory transactions in Infor SyteLine (or a comparable ERP/WMS system) is required

  • Demonstrated inventory accuracy and cycle-count experience

  • Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable directing a crew across receiving, issuing, and cycle-count activities

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Office Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, not required

  • Experience with barcode/lot traceability systems

  • Familiarity with pipe, fitting, or metal fabrication materials
