Description
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant Generalist (Accounting Clerk) to provide accounting assistance functions and to support accounting activities at our administrative office in St. Paul, MN.
Accounting Assistant Generalist Key Responsibilities
Assist the Accounts Receivable function - Printing ERA payments, record payments in appropriate tracking spreadsheet and enter the data into the system. Scan documentation into shared folders. Receive client information for billing services. Compile new client files.
Assist with Affiliate bank reconciliations - Clearing checks in the NXT when needed. Assist with preparing bank deposits, assist with entering rent and voucher payments into the property management rental software
Assist Accountants and the Accounting Manager with monthly and annual reports.
Accounting Assistant Generalist Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of experience in an accounting-related position, preferably with exposure to nonprofit fund accounting and parent/affiliate organizational structure a plus
Demonstrated clerical and mathematical aptitude, and the ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy while and working under time pressure and meeting deadlines.
Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
Integrity and discretion in safeguarding confidential information
Proficiency with PC accounting software: Excel and MS Word, and strong data entry skills.
The ability to communicate effectively in English in person and over the phone.
