Job Title: Parole Invest Metro RegionAgency: State Board of Pardons and Paroles Job Requisition ID: JR0000005934Shift: Not Applicable (United States of America)Compensation Details: $37,349.60 Job Description: Parole Investigator ( Metro) The Parole Investigator gathers criminal case information from available sources, including district attorney offices, courthouses, and police departments. The primary responsibility of this role is to complete concise and thorough investigative reports reflecting relevant facts and circumstances of assigned cases.

The incumbent proofreads and checks investigations for proper grammar to ensure all necessary information is included and submits completed reports within the required agency timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather comprehensive criminal case information from law enforcement agencies, courthouses, district attorney offices, and public records sources.
  • Complete detailed, accurate, and concise investigative reports that synthesize relevant case facts, mitigating and aggravating circumstances, and offender histories.
  • Proofread and quality-check all investigative reports for grammatical accuracy, completeness, and adherence to agency standards.
  • Submit completed case investigations punctually within established agency schedules and deadlines.
  • Conduct necessary interviews, field inquiries, and background verification checks as required for case processing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting interviews, field investigations, or background checks.
  • Prior experience working with correctional populations, court systems, or reentry services is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of investigative techniques, case management principles, and formal report writing.
  • Familiarity with Georgia state regulations regarding parole and offender supervision.
  • Proficiency in utilizing investigative tools, public records databases, and case management systems.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of progressively complex office or administrative experience.
