Bring your clinical expertise to a role where you can develop people, strengthen practice, and make an impact across the Emergency Department.

Logan Health is seeking a Clinical Educator to support our Emergency Department. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who is passionate about clinical education, competency development, and helping healthcare professionals grow.

While Emergency Department experience is strongly preferred, we recognize that exceptional educators may come from other high-acuity environments. Critical care experience combined with clinical education, teaching, or leadership experience may also be a strong fit.

In this role, you’ll partner with ED leaders and frontline clinicians to identify learning needs, develop and facilitate education, support onboarding and competency development, and promote evidence-based practice. You’ll also help evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and serve as a catalyst for positive change within the clinical environment.

Our Mission: Quality, compassionate care for all.

Our Vision: Reimagine health care through connection, service and innovation.

Our Core Values: Be Kind | Trust and Be Trusted | Work Together | Strive for Excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Assess educational and competency needs through needs assessments, gap analysis, clinical observations, and staff feedback

  • Develop, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate engaging education and competency programs

  • Support clinical onboarding, orientation, professional development, and the Preceptor Program

  • Help staff acquire, maintain, and expand competency in clinical procedures, equipment, documentation, and patient care

  • Implement evidence-based practices and support changes in clinical practice

  • Measure and document educational outcomes and program effectiveness

  • Collaborate with nursing leaders, clinical teams, educators, and interdisciplinary partners

  • Serve as a clinical resource, consultant, and catalyst for change

  • Maintain clinical competency within the assigned patient population

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact RN license with authorization to practice in Montana

  • Demonstrated ability to teach, educate, coach, or develop clinical staff

  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently and collaboratively

  • Ability to build effective relationships with a variety of audiences

  • Commitment to integrity, kindness, empathy, and professionalism

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn other technology and software

Preferred:

  • Five years of clinical nursing experience

  • Three years of teaching, clinical education, staff development, or nursing leadership experience

  • Emergency Department experience

  • Critical care/high-acuity clinical experience

  • BSN

  • Specialty certification and/or Nursing Professional Development certification

  • Demonstrated success in consultation, leadership, and serving as a catalyst for change

Certifications

The following certifications are required within the specified timeframe and may be obtained after hire:

  • RQI Provider (BLS): Within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care

  • ACLS: Within 6 months

  • PALS: Within 6 months

  • Workplace Violence Program Instructor: Within 1 year

  • TNCC Instructor: Within 18 months

  • ENPC Instructor: Within 18 months

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to combine clinical expertise with your passion for developing others. Whether your background is in Emergency Department nursing, critical care, or clinical education, you'll have the opportunity to influence practice, strengthen competency, and help prepare clinicians to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

If you're an experienced RN who loves teaching, developing others, and making a difference beyond your individual patient assignment, we'd love to hear from you.
